It’s hard to see just what Heidi St. John is proposing in her Facebook rant (“St. John identifies ‘woke crisis,’ “ The Columbian, March 21), but she was obviously outraged. So were many other Americans.
But millions of others weren’t, having simply chosen not to watch the Grammy Awards or, when the show got too steamy, turning the channel. Unless she’d lost the remote, St. John could just do the same thing, and then she wouldn’t have to blast her fury out on Facebook.
But her post did contain a promising slogan for her coming campaign. “You guys, Pepe Le Pew!” seems to capture her candidacy perfectly.
