Letter: Stop insanity in Vancouver

By Rose Wambold, Vancouver
Published: April 12, 2021, 6:00am

I couldn’t help but notice a homeless encampment just before the Interstate 205 northbound Mill Plain exit.

Just like in Portland (everywhere) on their freeways, this homeless encampment was strewn with garbage around their tent and down the embankment. Not to mention the graffiti. The thought that Vancouver is next is absolutely frightening.

Where is the mayor, the highly paid officials who manage our city? Are they turning another cheek? Why are these so-called representatives not taking a stand? As a taxpaying resident, I beg you to stop this insanity from igniting in our beloved city of Vancouver.

Stand up and do your job, local officials.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
