‘Armed and dangerous’ shooting suspect sought in Washington County

Several schools were in a “lockout” as sheriff’s deputies in Washington County searched for an “armed and dangerous” suspect after a shooting Friday morning in Hillsboro, officials said.

No one was was injured in the 5:45 a.m. shooting in the 4500 block of Southwest Minter Bridge Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Wilfredo Peraza-Domenech, was driving a 2002 blue Dodge Caravan with Oregon license plate number YMU881. The vehicle was found on the south side of Cornelius Friday morning, officials said, and several nearby schools—Fern Hill Elementary, Neil Armstrong Middle School and Swallowtail School—were under a “lockout” as investigators searched the area.

Peraza-Domenech was described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Carhart jacket, blue jeans, a white t-shirt and may have a goatee.

Investigators asked anyone who sees Peraza-Domenech or has information about the shooting to call 911.
