A fire believed to have started in a kitchen destroyed a Camas house on Saturday evening.
The Camas-Washougal Fire Department was dispatched to the home on the 600 block on Northwest Hill Street at 6:50 p.m. There, crews found flames and smoke pouring through the windows of a one-story house.
With help from the Vancouver Fire Department, the blaze was rapidly brought under control.
No occupants or firefighters were injured, but the home and its contents are considered a total loss.
