Clark County will hold a virtual public meeting at 6 p.m. May 11 to introduce the Housing Options Study and Action Plan, a project to identify ways to encourage affordable housing development within the unincorporated Vancouver Urban Growth Area, according to a press release from the county.

The area includes Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Felida, Minnehaha, Orchards and other neighborhoods that are outside the city limits but have urban services that could support multiple types of housing, according to the county — areas where the market is not currently meeting the demand for low- and middle-income housing.

The Zoom meeting will include a presentation about the initial research followed by a period for questions and comments from participants. Information about how to join the meeting can be found at clark.wa.gov/housingoptions.
