The Clark County Law Library will reopen to the public on Monday, May 3, after being closed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Law Library will be open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Law Library staff will provide remote reference only from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Clark County Law Library is located on the first floor of the Clark County Courthouse, 1200 Franklin St. Access to the Law Library is through the west entrance to the courthouse in the breezeway between the jail and courthouse off West 13th Street.

There will be some restrictions due to social distancing and there will be a 30-minute limit on computer use. Anyone visiting county buildings is required to wear a face covering that covers the bridge of the nose to underneath the chin.

The Law Library provides a professional legal collection for judges, prosecutors, other lawyers and county and state officials.

The collection is open to the public any time the library is open, and about 90 percent of inquiries to the Law Library come from non-attorneys.

For more information go to the county’s website at https://clark.wa.gov/law-library.
