Fishing report as of August 3

Fishing reports for waters in southwest Washington, including the Columbia River and tributaries as reported to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on Aug. 3.

Always check the WDFW website at wdfw.wa.gov/fishing for the latest fishing rules and regulations as seasons can change or close quickly if necessary.

Fishery reports

Columbia River mainstem

Salmon/Steelhead

Bonneville — 26 bank anglers kept one sockeye, four steelhead and released three Chinook and five steelhead.

Camas/Washougal — Five boats/10 rods had no catch.

Interstate 5 area — 54 bank anglers kept one steelhead, four steelhead and released 10 steelhead.

Vancouver — Nine bank anglers had no catch; five boat/12 rods had no catch.

Woodland — Nine bank anglers had no catch; eight boat/12 rods had no catch.

Kalama — 20 bank anglers had no catch; two boats/four rods released four steelhead.

Cowlitz — Two boats/six rods kept three Chinook and released four steelhead.

Longview — 63 bank anglers kept four steelhead and released three steelhead; four boats/seven rods had no catch.

Cathlamet (Sec. 9) — 11 bank anglers had no catch; three boats/nine rods kept three steelhead and released one Chinook and four steelhead.

Cathlamet (Sec. 10) — No report.

Sturgeon

Kalama — One boat/four rods released 10 sublegal sturgeon.

Longview — 1 boat/ 3 rods released had no catch.

Walleye

Camas/Washougal — Four boat/five rods released one walleye.

Columbia River tributaries

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River from Interstate-5 Bridge downstream — Six bank rods had no catch.

Cowlitz Above the I-5 Bridge — 11 bank rods kept one steelhead; 24 boats/77 rods kept 33 steelhead and released one jack and one steelhead.

Kalama River — 12 bank rods kept one steelhead and released one steelhead.

Lewis River — 10 bank rods had no catch; three boats/six rods kept one steelhead.

Drano Lake — Four bank rods kept one Chinook; 8 boats/15 rods kept two Chinook and released one Chinook, one jack and 11 steelehead.

Klickitat River below Fisher Hill Bridge — No report.

Klickitat above No. 5 Fishway — No report.
