Letter: Bezos’ actions questioned

By Maureen Lang, Vancouver
Published: August 7, 2021, 6:00am

It has taken me days to recover from the intoxicating effects of Jay Ambrose’s love-fest for Jeff Bezos (“Bezos is again trying to change the world,” July 27). I don’t hate Jeff Bezos. I just wish he would pay his taxes; not make a farce of the title “astronaut”; not further pollute our planet with the fire and smoke ejected during takeoff for his 10-minute joyride into the wide blue wonder; not waste raw material or power resources to manufacture his oversized boy toy.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
