Letter: Border solution is simple

Our Vice President Kamala Harris is having a difficult time figuring out the root cause of our southern border immigration crisis. She believes the problem is very complex and will take untold years and billions of dollars to even begin to tackle. Well this senior citizen can help, and I won’t charge a dime or waste a minute of anybody’s time. It is a simple two-step plan:

1. Immediately restart construction on the southern border wall. Make it a top priority to be completed by the end of next year and you will be a hero to the over 80 percent of Americans who support a secure border.

2. Let ICE agents do their job. Stop hindering their ability to do the job properly, which is to patrol our border and keep America safe from harm. Such a simple solution. You would think even Joe and Kamala could figure it out.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
