A planned Interstate 5 Bridge closure to allow repairs on Saturday night was postponed due to expected high temperatures this weekend.

The closure, on the northbound lanes of the bridge, was scheduled for 11 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. No new date was announced by the Oregon Department of Transportation in a news release on Wednesday, but one will be set in the future.

Crews planned counterweight adjustments, road deck patches and improvements to the lighting and the electrical system.
