Vancouver-based event planning software company Hubb has been acquired by telecommunications company Intrado. The price of the sale was not disclosed.

Hubb’s executive team and employees will join the Intrado digital media team, according to a press release from Intrado. The Hubb platform will be integrated into Intrado Digital Media, but events currently booked through either service will not be impacted.

Hubb was founded by Allie Magyar in 2015, spinning off from another event-planning company she had founded called Dynamic Events. Hubb focused on developing and commercializing a software platform for planning, coordinating and running large-scale corporate events. The company reworked the platform during the COVID-19 pandemic to add support for virtual and hybrid events.
