Letter: Keep road to marina open

By Christine Summers, Vancouver
Published: August 18, 2021, 6:00am

We moor our boat at Kadows Marina on Lower River Road. Due to work we are only able to go down on the weekends. For at least the third time this summer the road has been closed for an event, and we have not been able to get down there. Today it is closed from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Why are they allowed to close it to the majority for a select few? If they want to have an event they should only be able to close one lane and hire a pilot car, there is also a wide pathway to use. It’s so unfair to deny access to the parks, marina and boat ramp for a small number of people during prime season.
