Letter: Newcomer is revenge candidate

It took Joe Kent all of seven months from the time he registered to vote in Clark County to then file for a seat in Congress representing the 3rd Congressional District. In The Columbian article “3rd District contest beginning to heat up” (Nov. 17), it stated that Kent was unavailable for comment.

Joe Kent is the revenge candidate for former President Donald Trump. He is opposing fellow Republican Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler because she voted to impeach Trump. She said she voted to impeach because Trump “incited a riot intended to halt the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next.”

I hope Joe Kent, a relatively new resident of Washington, is available to speak with a Columbian reporter when they come a’knocking again.
