C-Tran is offering free service on New Year’s Eve on all of its routes starting at 6 p.m. and going into the early hours of New Year’s Day.

“Impaired driving causes thousands of deaths each year in the United States, and many such crashes occur during the holidays — including New Year’s Eve,” according to a statement from the transit agency. “So if you’re heading out to ring in 2022, be safe, plan ahead and let C-Tran do the driving instead of getting behind the wheel.”

Routes 37, 60, 65, 71, 80 and The Vine will run until about 2 a.m. or later. Full New Year’s Eve schedules can be found at c-tran.com/newyears.

On those routes that won’t have extended hours, C-Tran will be running on a regular weekday schedule Dec. 31.

Riders who need assistance or have questions can call the agency at 360-695-0123.
