When I read Lynne Chowning’s letter (“Photo leads to question,” Our Readers’ Views, Dec. 10), I wondered: How can anyone be so mean-spirited as to begrudge a homeless person a bicycle? Instead of idly speculating on the fortunes of the less fortunate, perhaps she should instead be grateful for her own undoubtedly richly deserved possessions.
