VPD: Woman robbed at gunpoint in central Vancouver

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night as she exited her vehicle in Vancouver’s Bagley Downs neighborhood.

The incident was reported around 10:35 p.m. in the 3400 block of Northeast 62nd Avenue.

The suspect approached the woman, pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse, according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp. He then fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

Kapp said the woman was not injured.

The suspect was described as a Black male, 20 to 30 years old, standing 6-foot-2-inches tall and weighing between 220 and 240 pounds.
