Fire damaged an occupied travel trailer in Vancouver early Friday, but firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby house.

The fire was reported just after 6 a.m., within five minutes of another fire at an apartment complex, at 5913 N.E. 114th St, according to a statement from the Vancouver Fire Department.

Crews arrived to find a travel trailer engulfed in flame. Crews worked to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby house while others worked to provide a steady water supply, since there were no hydrants in the area, the statement said.

No injuries were reported and the person who had been in the trailer was able to evacuate safely, the statement said.

Ten firefighters responded to the blaze, which is being investigated by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office.
