Clark County Public Health appears to be sending almost all of the COVID-19 vaccine to the fairgrounds site. They have contracted with a third party to schedule appointments online. This is a terrible idea for many seniors in the community.
I registered my husband on the Public Health website two weeks ago with the understanding someone would call us when appointments were available. If all doses are going to the fairgrounds, this is obviously not going to happen. There are 20,000 names on that original list, why aren’t they being served first?
I tried logging in to the Safeway/Albertsons site at noon Sunday. The scheduling calendar wouldn’t load and the session timed out. When I tried to log back in, the site was down. I finally got back in, went through the entire process and was told his registration was being reviewed. After 15 minutes, the session expired. I logged back in but all appointments were gone.
Clark County Public Health and the staff at Safeway/Albertsons didn’t know there were problems with Sunday’s process? These vaccines could mean life or death for us, there must be a better way to distribute them to the public.
