An allegedly intoxicated bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Thursday night on one of Vancouver’s main throughways.

Officers were dispatched at 8:38 p.m. to the intersection of Grand and East Fourth Plain boulevards for a report of a traffic crash with injuries. Firefighters also responded to the scene for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash, dispatch logs show.

Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp confirmed Friday that a vehicle struck a bicyclist. The driver remained at the scene, she said.

The bicyclist was intoxicated and cited for crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk, Kapp said. They were taken to a hospital for a possibly broken leg, she said.
