Fire in a wall between condo units displaced two families late Saturday night in Vancouver’s Columbia Way neighborhood.

Vancouver Fire Department crews were called at 11:35 p.m. for a multiple residential structure fire at 778 S.E. Fairwinds Loop. An engine and truck responded, said Heidi Parr, a spokeswoman with the Vancouver Fire Department.

The fire was under control in about 10 minutes, according to the fire department.

Red Cross assisted one displaced family, and the other family had a place to go, the department said.

The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause; though, it appeared to be a wall heater, Parr said.
