ARNADA — Children of all ages in Vancouver’s Arnada neighborhood were able to participate in a series of activities put together by the neighborhood association. The association created craft kits and provided sheets for bingo and supplies to design an elf. Craft kits were set up outside, including instructions on creating felt candy, bottlecap snowmen and bottlecap holly ornaments. Those who played bingo could visit local businesses to find pictures that match the bingo card. In an effort to make Arnada Park more festive during the holiday season, children in the neighborhood were asked to help create an elf to decorate the park. Made of plywood and painted by neighborhood volunteers, they will be displayed at the gazebo next year.
