Letter: Trump history repeats itself

Donald Trump finally got to speak with Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, this past week. In a recorded hourlong phone conversation, the leader of the Free World said: “I just want to find 11,780 votes!”

Too bad that 51 Republican senators voted not to allow witnesses to be called or documents presented on Jan. 31, 2020, during Trump’s impeachment; too bad that 52 of them voted no on the Abuse of Power charge; too bad that all 53 of them voted no on the Obstruction of Congress charge.

The recent call by the president was not dissimilar to his previous “perfect phone call” to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July 2019.
