Letter: So tired of ‘winning’

I really appreciate the work the president has done. In just four short years, he has enacted the best health care on Earth, even for the poor. Our standing in the world has no doubt been enhanced by him turning his back on the rest of the planet. Companies that make oil drilling equipment are all the rage now. And he put only the “best” people in his Cabinet: those whom he likes, are totally unqualified and/or who have an ax to grind.

For decades, the GOP has been in bed with the NRA, promoting gun purchasing for just about anyone. You now have delusionals attacking the Capitol and our statehouses on nothing but his claim of winning and his call to violence. “Live by the sword, die by the sword.”

But most of all, he has united progressives and moderates against the GOP. We now have a chance for real change in our country. And just in time, because we are so tired of “winning.”
