Authorities have issued evacuation notices for residents of the Columbia River Gorge community of Dodson, Ore., amid a flash flood warning early Wednesday.

The community, which is east of Multnomah Falls along Interstate 84, is under a flash flood warning until 11:15 a.m. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said active landslides are making it difficult for authorities to safely access the community.

Residents should leave by heading east, the sheriff’s office said, and everyone else should avoid the area.

The eastbound interstate is closed at Troutdale, Ore.
