Letter: Support Camas school levy

By Mary Tipton, Camas
Published: January 16, 2021, 6:00am

As a former school board member and parent of three graduates of Camas schools, I am writing this letter to encourage support for the Camas School District’s levy, which will be on the ballot this February.

In my view there is no better investment for a community than public education as it benefits us all and builds a better future for our young people.

The levy is a replacement of the current levy, which expires at the end of the year. It is needed for the continuation of programs that are fundamental to our students’ basic education.

Please support Camas schools by voting yes.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
