A small earthquake registering 2.7 on the Richter scale was detected Sunday near Mount Hood by the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
The quake was about determined to be about 3.7 miles south of the mountain. There were no injuries, but a woman working in Government Camp said she felt the jolt, which hit at about 3:40 p.m. and texted her boyfriend.
