I have been a frequent critic of Jaime Herrera Beutler. Now I must congratulate her for her commitment to preserving our democracy and having the courage to vote yes on impeachment. Too many members of her party did not recognize the seriousness of the assault on the Capitol or were more concerned about their jobs or safety. If our representatives refuse to vote for what is right for fear of attack, the terrorists have won.
