VANCOUVER HEIGHTS — The Building Industry Association of Clark County’s golden shovels typically used in the groundbreaking ceremony for the NW Natural Parade of Homes made an appearance at the Vancouver Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7824 to break ground on a new pavilion. The new pavilion was funded by a grant from the Cowlitz Tribe and courtesy of the Clark County Veterans Court Advisory Board. Several Building Industry Association members donated labor, materials or funds to help build the pavilion. “Supporting community projects such as the VFW Pavilion is one of the many ways our members give back to the community,” the association’s Executive Director Avaly Scarpelli said in a news release.
