Vancouver police investigating drive-by shooting

A person was shot at in a field at Cascade Middle School Sunday night but not injured, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Police were dispatched around 8:51 p.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired at the 1800 block of Northeast 136th Avenue. Someone in a car driving on 136th Avenue started shooting at the person in the field, according to police. Officers found shell casings in the area.

The Vancouver Police Department Safe Streets Task Force is investigating the shooting.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call the police tip line at 360-487-7399.
