Letter: Support Yung for city council

Vancouver’s city council is at a crossroads of representation. Current members, other than Bart Hansen, listen to the “good old boys” network of unions and developers. They also support negative campaigning, through unsavory postal letters and disruptive social media.

Glen Yung, Position 3, as The Columbian says, is a “grassroots” representative. He and Bart Hansen pay attention to citizens’ concerns: bike lanes, Tower Mall and the Navigation Center. Glen is a respected citizen advocate. He is not being groomed as a puppet for special-interest groups.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
