I know that there are many things that have gone horribly wrong in our world in the last few years.
Poverty, shootings, riots, the pandemic; all have taken their toll on most of us. But, rather than dwell on the bad and sad things that have happened, I have been helped by wonderful people to learn to dwell on the good. And I know, through my own experiences, there are many good people out there and I have been so lucky to know them.
I suffered the loss of my beloved husband at the end of 2020 and had great support from friends and family to help me get through some bad moments. Then recently I was in an auto accident and sustained several injuries, and my friends and family were there for me again. They brought me food, took me to doctors’ appointments, helped with housework and yard work, checked up with me on the phone and internet.
I never had to feel alone. I always felt loved and cared for and I will never forget all that has been done for me, and I will continue to try to focus on the good rather than the bad. And I know, that someday, things will get better for everyone.
