Letter: Response at Capitol is different

Perhaps our Republican congresswoman, or someone else, can explain the timid law enforcement response to the American terrorist attack on our Capitol on Jan. 6 in contrast to the massive arrest of nearly a dozen citizens exercising their right to peacefully assemble and protest an injustice in the same Capitol? Could it possibly be because they were female and mostly Black?

Among those arrested was a congresswoman of many years experience. Could it possibly be because she happens to be the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus? One thing is for certain, there were no dead or injured police left in the wake of this latest incident.
