Letter: Thanks to parks and recreation

This is a shoutout to Vancouver Parks and Recreation for their fabulous work in our community this summer. They’ve planned Tuesday and Thursday night “Parties in the Park” in neighborhoods throughout the community. They’re hosting Friday night movies and have camps for kids. The energy and enthusiasm this team displays while working for us is heartwarming, exciting and so very welcome. I am especially thrilled to see so many young people working their first jobs as staff at Vancouver Parks and Rec. Well done!

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
