The Springs Living announced last week that it intends to build The Springs at The Waterfront Vancouver, a 12-story senior living community on Block 18 of The Waterfront Vancouver.

The tower will house approximately 250 residences for people age 62 years and older, according to a press release from The Springs Living, and will include independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities along with a pool and spa, a wellness center and multiple dining venues.

The Springs Living is based in McMinnville, Ore., and operates 18 senior communities in the Pacific Northwest. The company began working on the Vancouver project with lead Waterfront developer Gramor Development in 2018, and news of the project first broke when the partners submitted a pre-application packet in mid-2019.

The May 21 press release states that the project was “put on hold in 2020” due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and construction is now scheduled to begin early next year with a grand opening planned for the first half of 2024.
