Letter: Support Pond for city council

I have lived here for over 10 years now, after marrying my husband brought me across the river. In this time, I keep seeing candidates for the city council pledge over and over that even though they do not live in east Vancouver, they will do their best to represent us.

So I am voting for a resident of my own Fircrest neighborhood: Mike Pond. It is time for some fresh ideas and a fresh perspective to the problems we have, with an east Vancouver point of view. I am tired of politicians, tired of political people looking for a new office. None of them are really leading us along the road to equality across the city, except Mike Pond.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
