True colors

Downtown Camas’ next First Friday event, “Unicorns and Rainbows,” gets June off to a colorful start with unicorn costumes, kids crafts, unicorn and rainbow-themed games with prizes, a ribbon-cutting, a new store opening, art shows and after-hours shopping from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Learn more at downtowncamas.com.

Down on the farm

Enjoy a day on the farm at Pomeroy Farm’s Farm Days, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month through August. Roam the farm’s historical grounds and browse the wares of local vendors or purchase prepared food. Free admission. Visit pomeroyfarm.org for updates.

Local flavor

The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market opens Tuesday in a new location, the southeast side of the Kaiser Permanente parking lot at 14406 N.E. 20th Ave. in Salmon Creek. The market will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday through Oct. 5 with produce, flowers, honey, nut butters and baked goods from local producers. For details, see www.salmoncreekfarmersmarket.com.

Friday fun

Galleries and merchants are staying open late for the First Friday Artwalk in downtown Vancouver, 5 to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. See new works by notable artists and take advantage of First Friday sales and promotions. For a map with details about what’s happening at each location, visit vdausa.org.

Beaver bonanza

Columbia Springs is hosting a four-part online series about beavers. Learn about beavers with local experts every Thursday in June at 5:30 p.m., starting today. Each session will be recorded and saved on Columbia Springs’ website after the event. Register at www.columbiasprings.org.
