Letter: Democrats seek one-party power

The term democracy is capriciously tossed around by politicians without regard for its essence. Many assume the Democratic Party is the standard bearer for democracy due to name similarity. That was probably true decades ago.

In today’s reality, Republicans have assumed the lead where democracy is concerned. The dictionary defines democracy as “government by the people with supreme power vested in the people.”

The current Democratic Party is hell-bent on establishing single-party governance, another name for totalitarian rule. Their goal is establishing a crushing monolithic government they will run. Fact check: Biden offering free everything to illegal immigrants in exchange for their political loyalty will heavily tilt the electorate to the left.

HR1 concentrates power back with the central government. Pushing for Washington, D.C., statehood is another arrow in the Democrat quiver. Biden’s calling us a racist country is a strategy to attract Black/brown votes. The fact that Trump did far more for Blacks and Hispanics than any other president in modern history has been buried by the Democrats and mainstream media. The Democrats seek power, not democracy. It appears they want a two-class communist society — the political elite vs. downtrodden peasants. Please vote accordingly.
