Battle Ground Lake drew big crowds for swimming, fishing and kayaking Saturday as Clark County residents enjoyed a day of ideal summer weather with sunny skies and temperatures that only briefly climbed above 80 degrees. The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission announced earlier this month that it would add June 19 to its list of annual free days on which visitors are not required to have a Discover Pass to use state parks, in honor of Juneteenth.
