The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society will host its annual fundraising dog walk, Hike on the Dike, on Saturday along the Columbia River Dike Trail, beginning at the society’s dog shelter at 2695 Index St., Washougal.

Participants can register for $15 at wcghs.akaraisin.com/ui/hod2021 or register in person for the event, which is 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, an earlier start time than previous years to account for the day’s expected high temperatures.

Small groups of walkers will start at staggered times for COVID-19 safety. There will also be a DJ, raffle items, a kids’ scavenger hunt and pet-related merchandise for sale. For details, call the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society at 360-835-3464 or visit wcghs.org.
