PORTLAND — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in South Portland early Sunday morning, police said.
Portland police officers responded after midnight to reports of the crash near Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Hooker Street, officials said.
Investigators found a vehicle had gone over an embankment, police said, and the crash resulted in a fatality.
Officials did not say whether the person who died was the driver or how the crash occurred. More information may be available Monday afternoon, a police spokesman said.
