Letter: Challenge Herrera Beutler

By Jerry Rogers, Vancouver

Apparently Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, gets her revenge.

Herrera Beutler showed her disdain for Trump before he was elected in 2016. Herrera Beutler said she did not vote for Trump and voted for a write-in candidate. The impeachment vote gave her a chance to complete her revenge against Trump for something that he apparently did or said that made her angry. It was bad enough that she voted against her constituents’ wishes, but to make matters worse she made an eleventh-hour accusation regarding a secondhand phone call.

This is not the type of representation I voted for. She will probably get a few qualified challengers in the 2022 primary. My vote will go to a veteran named Joe Kent if he runs as promised.
