Prep stars of the day for March 13

Stars of the day

Joseph Blanshan, La Center cross country, won the overall title at the 1A Trico League Championships with a time of 16:39.97 on the 3-mile course at White Salmon. The sophomore helped the Wildcats to the team title by six points over Seton Catholic.

Lara Carrion, Seton Catholic girls cross country, was the overall winner at the 1A Trico League Championships, leading a Cougars sweep to the team title with 15 points. The junior’s winning time was 18:40.34 over the 3-mile course.

Allie Andrew, Ridgefield volleyball, had 14 kills, nine blocks and three aces in the Spudders 3-1 win at Woodland.

Emma Swett, Woodland volleyball, had 14 kills, four blocks and 15 digs against Ridgefield.

Kelli Kirusl, Ridgefield girls soccer, scored a goal and was the coach’s standout in the Spudders 2-0 playoff win over R.A. Long.
