One person was killed in a shooting at a Northeast Portland grocery store Wednesday night, police said.

Officers responded to reports of the shooting at a WinCo Foods in the 1900 block of Northeast 122nd Avenue around 10 p.m. The victim, who was not identified, was found dead at the scene, police said.

A short time after the shooting, police said someone else was carjacked at gunpoint in the parking lot of the store, but investigators were still working to determine if the two incidents were related.

Police did not release a description of a suspect or suspects in either incident.

They did ask anyone with information about the shooting or the carjacking to contact Detective Brad Clifton at Brad.Clifton@portlandoregon.gov /503-823-0696 or Michael Greenlee at Michael.Greenlee@ portlandoregon.gov/503-823-0871.
