A flatbed truck apparently lost a load of lumber in a crash on state Highway 14 westbound Monday morning, causing traffic to come to a standstill, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The crash happened about 8:12 a.m.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the collision near Alpine Lane, a few miles west of downtown Camas, blocked both westbound lanes and one eastbound lane. Traffic quickly backed up toward the slough bridge as emergency responders dealt with the crash.

There was no word on injuries, but medics were called to the scene and at least one person was transported to an area hospital.

WSDOT said on Twitter that the scene was cleared about 9:20 a.m. but the backups had extended in both directions.

C-Tran said Route 92 also saw delays.
