Letter: Post Office faces changes

It looks as though our U.S. Post Office is finally getting it right. Why should we be able to send letters across the country in three days for only 55 cents? Doesn’t anyone understand that it costs far more than that to feed the horses and riders they are using? What if we are having bad weather and the trails are slippery?

Yes, we must slow this thing down. Our carriers are getting paid far too much, especially if they work over eight hours. Time and a half? Wow! We are gonna have to start the next presidential voting in January 2024. I wonder if Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is going to get a pay cut too?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
