Letter: Verdict made mockery of law

Last Tuesday our flags should have flown at half-staff due to the death of Lady Justice in America. The verdict against Derek Chauvin made a mockery of our rule of law. It was lynching by mob rule verdict: witness intimidation.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., flagrantly advocated violence if there was anything but a guilty verdict. The city of Minneapolis had already, prior to the trial, paid $27 million in a civil lawsuit with the family of George Floyd, the criminal law judge denied several motions for mistrial (should have been granted), the jury disregarded the forensic evidence that was discussed on TV that countered the murder charges. Manslaughter, maybe.

Everyone is ignoring Floyd’s criminal history and that he was committing a felony when arrested that day. Black Lives Matter threatened to burn cities if Chauvin was not convicted. The jury was under threat if they did not convict. Remember, Sen. Nancy Pelosi and associates bowed the knee to the BLM years ago in the House, when they endorsed the Marxist organization’s goal to replace our Representative Republic.

Yes, Tuesday, April 21 Lady Justice was cut down by the hatemongering Democrats that are trying to change this country for their purpose before the midterms.

We the People must fight this.
