Clark County reported 92 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Wednesday as disease activity appears to be holding steady or even declining slightly.

Clark County Public Health reported that the new cases include 65 confirmed by molecular, or PCR, testing, bringing that total to 22,255 cases to date, and 27 new probable cases diagnosed by antigen testing, pushing that total to 1,145 cases to date.

Combining confirmed and probable cases, the county has been averaging about 85 new cases a day since Friday, down from an average of about 95 cases a day last week and 93 cases a day the week ending April 30, according to Public Health data.

The number of active cases, which tracks both confirmed and probable cases, was 687 on Wednesday, up from 677 on Tuesday, according to Public Health data.

Hospitalizations fell Wednesday, with 38 people hospitalized with COVID-19, down from 42 on Tuesday, and five people awaiting test results, up from four on Tuesday, according to Public Health data.

With no new deaths reported Wednesday, Clark County’s total stands at 264. Fatalities are added to the county’s total 10 to 12 days after they occur.

Anyone age 16 or older is eligible to be vaccinated, though underage teens are advised to check with vaccination sites about what sort of parental consent might be needed.
