Nominees for Week 11 prep athlete of the week

Voting will continue through 7 p.m. Thursday

Here are the nominees for the Week 11 high school athlete of the week, for results from May 10-15.

Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again in the same sports season.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable to vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

This week, we are also offering a fans the opportunity to cast a second vote by using a ballot link right here.

Voting from both ballots will be combined to produce the final winner, which will be published in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

  • KADENCE BURLESON, EVERGREEN SOFTBALL: Burleson went 3 for 5 with two home runs and six RBI in two games.
  • JADE GRUHER, UNION GIRLS GOLF: Gruher shot a 1-under-par 35 at Camas Meadows and a 2-over 37 at Fairway Village in two wins for the Titans.
  • TYSON LINDEMOOD, BATTLE GROUND BASEBALL: Lindemood went 6 for 7 with five runs and two RBI in two league wins for the Tigers.
  • KARA MATTSON, PRAIRIE GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Mattson won the 100 and 200 meters and the long jump and triple jump in a win over Mountain View.
  • SHEA MCGEE, CAMAS TRACK/GYMNASTICS: McGee cleared a region-best 12-3 in the pole vault in track and won the all-around (37.85) in gymnastics meet with Union and Evergreen.
