OL Reign ends Portland Thorns long home unbeaten streak

Rapinoe scores in 2-1 win at Providence Park

Megan Rapinoe and Shirley Cruz scored in the first half to lead OL Reign past the Portland Timbers 2-1 on Sunday at Providence Park.

The loss was Portland’s first loss in 305 days. dating to the semifinals of the NWSL Challenge Cup semifinals. It’s also the Thorns first home loss in 620 days.

Portland (1-1-0) took the lead on Christine Sinclair’s goal in the fourth minute, her second of the season.
