Fourth Plain Forward and Safeway are teaming up to bring walk-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics to some of Vancouver’s most diverse neighborhoods in the Fourth Plain Corridor.

A number of vaccination clinics are scheduled at River City Church, 2400 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. The clinics will take place at the following times:

  • 3 to 7 p.m. June 8.
  • 3 to 7 p.m. June 10.
  • 3 to 7 p.m. June 15.
  • 3 to 7 p.m. June 17.
  • Noon to 6 p.m. June 26.

No appointments or health insurance are necessary. Community members will receive the Pfizer vaccine. Second dose appointments will be scheduled on-site. Clinic attendees may receive a grocery gift card. Community members with questions or seeking an appointment should call Carmen Huizar at 360-852-0962.

Fourth Plain Forward has advocated to improve vaccine access for the Central Vancouver community. “Community centered vaccinations are overdue in Clark County,” Fourth Plain Forward’s Interim Executive Director Sydney Johnson said. “Our BIPOC and Latinx communities have been the hardest hit by the pandemic in all aspects yet the response to their needs is continuously sluggish. By bringing the vaccine to their neighborhoods, we remove barriers and help folks take another step toward recovery and beyond.”
